Infinite CBD and Veterans
“Post war, I was given 18 different prescriptions medications from the VA but since, I have replaced 15 of them with cannabinoids,” said John Ramsay, Infinite CBD Owner. “As a Medic in the Army, I cared for many so I took to researching other methods of relief and found the cannabis plant. Today and everyday, I want to help other veterans understand how this plant works with the body and how they can find potential benefits. On Veteran’s Day Infinite CBD is offering to double all orders to show our respects.”
According to the RAND Center for Military Health Policy Research, 20 percent of the veterans who served in either Iraq or Afghanistan suffer from either major depression or post-traumatic stress disorder. Providing FREE CBD products to veterans offers an opportunity to regain mental health, postwar.
Living with PTSD, vets receive prescription medications that come with nasty side effects. Then doctors prescribe another medication to counteract the negative side effects. Next thing vets know, they are on 18 different medications and undesirable side effects.
According to research, CBD demonstrates being a potential powerful therapeutic for PTSD. It’s natural too!
CBD and PTSD
Cannabidiol, or CBD for short, is found within the cannabis plant to keep the body at homeostasis. Specifically with PTSD, CBD helps to reduce acute and long-lasting fear and memory, according to Frontiers in Pharmacology.
It was explained in the study that CBD had bidirectional effects on the extinction of contextual fear conditioning. Further, CBD both acutely inhibited fear expression and enhanced extinction to produce longer lasting reductions in fear.
This research study by Frontiers in Pharmacology demonstrates further support for the potential of CBD for post-traumatic stress disorder.
